Travellers Choice is lucky to have some very generous preferred partners, as attested by the incentive rewards and educational trips regularly offered to members. But it’s not only agents who enjoy suppliers’ largess – a growing number of customers are also taking home valuable prizes.
So far this year Travellers Choice has run eight supplier marketing campaigns incorporating consumer competitions, providing an added incentive for clients to book with Travellers Choice members.
Discover Travel & Cruise customer Tanya Wallace, for instance, won a $2,000 Cash Passport Platinum Mastercard after booking an Emirates flight in April. And Travellers Place client Robin Southern recently won an Apple iPad after making a Bentours booking through the Victorian agency.
Most recently Qantas offered Travellers Choice customers the chance to win a Qantas Club membership for two when they booked a flight to the UK or Europe.
General Manager - Marketing Robyn Mitchell says consumer competitions can inject marketing campaigns with added excitement and urgency.
“They also provide a great opportunity for members to leverage some additional publicity in their local area if the winner is their client,” says Robyn. “Discover Travel & Cruise for example generated excellent coverage in its local newspaper.”
