Travellers Choice is looking to one of Australia's most respected tennis stars and a renowned expert on Artificial Intelligence to add some 'Heart & Hustle' to its 2026 conference at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre in November.

Managing Director Christian Hunter says Heart & Hustle was chosen as this year’s conference theme because it embodies the two key attributes travel agents need to succeed in today's rapidly evolving travel industry.

“Heart is all about passion, whether it’s for delivering exceptional service, building trusted relationships or helping people fulfil their dreams,” says Hunter. “And hustle is what every travel agent has to do to survive in an industry constantly facing change and disruption.”

Addressing matters of the heart will be one of Australia's most successful professional tennis players, Matt Ebden, winner of multiple Grand Slam doubles titles (including Wimbledon in 2022 and the Australian Open in 2024), as well as the gold medal in the men's doubles at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

"Matt became a professional tennis player back in 2006 and during his remarkably long career he's performed under enormous pressure, overcome multiple setbacks and maintained focus in a constantly changing environment," says Hunter.

"He will give members practical insights into the kind of resilience, adaptability and commitment required to stay at the top of any profession."

Bringing the ‘hustle’ will be Julian Moore, Chief AI Consultant at Strategic Membership Solutions, who will provide a hands-on demonstration of how AI can help Travellers Choice members work smarter.

"Julian doesn't use PowerPoint," says Hunter. "Instead, he will use input from conference delegates to build an AI solution in real time during his presentation, showcasing exactly how the technology can save agents time, streamline workflows and boost productivity."

The 2026 Travellers Choice Conference will take place from 27-29 November in Perth, with the event kicking off with a welcome function at the Sky View Lounge at Optus Stadium, where delegates will enjoy panoramic views of the Swan River and the city skyline.

As well as a host of keynote speakers the conference will offer breakout sessions and networking opportunities. Delegates will also have the chance to explore a Preferred Supplier Exhibition and celebrate the group’s top performers at the Travellers Choice National Awards Gala Dinner.
