Business growth expert Matt Alderton has owned more than a dozen award-winning enterprises across a range of sectors, including retail, hospitality and technology.
He is also the founder and Chief Executive of global business networking and education platform, Bx, and in 2023 he sold Integrated Workforce Solutions, a cloud-based rostering and payroll provider he built from scratch, for $16 million.
Travellers Choice Managing Director Christian Hunter says Alderton is the embodiment of this year’s conference theme, ‘Nailing It’.
“Matt has a passion for helping small business operators realise their potential, and he does so by sharing some of the practical wisdom and proven strategies gained from his many successes and failures. His insights on resilience, collaboration, vision, personal leadership and community will resonate and inspire.”
This year’s conference will also feature organisational psychologist Dr Amantha Imber, founder of Inventium, a behavioural science consultancy that has worked with companies such as Google, Apple and Disney to boost productivity, innovation and wellbeing.
In 2021, Imber became the first Australian to win the Thinkers50 Innovation Award, described by the Financial Times as the ‘Oscars for Management Thinking’. She is also the host of the number one-ranking business podcast 'How I Work', which sees her regularly interview some of the world’s most successful people about their habits, strategies and rituals.
Hunter says ‘nailing it’ is an apt description of Travellers Choice’s last 12 months, which have seen the group post a record profit, introduce innovative new member support services, further expand its national network, and secure the coveted NTIA Most Outstanding Travel Agency Network award for the fourth consecutive year.
“Our focus now is on ensuring Travellers Choice is doing everything it can – whether its terms of technology, marketing, training or sustainability – to ensure our members to continue ‘nailing it’ in the years ahead.”
The 2025 Travellers Conference will take place from 28-30 November at CENTREPIECE at Melbourne Park, a state-of-the-art venue in the heart of Melbourne's sports and entertainment precinct.
The three-day event kicks off with Annual General Meeting and Members’ Forum, followed by a host of inspiring keynote speakers, panel discussions and networking sessions. Delegates will also have time to explore a Preferred Supplier Exhibition and enjoy the Travellers Choice National Awards Gala Dinner.
