Travellers Choice is pleased to welcome South Coast Cruise & Travel as its newest member, with the agency returning to the award-winning group after a “professional gap year”.
Managing Director Lindy Herron purchased South Coast Cruise & Travel in 2001 after transitioning to the travel industry from a career in ICU and emergency nursing. Her Nowra-based business first joined Travellers Choice in 2007.
In 2024, Herron says she decided to “reassess, recalibrate and explore new perspectives” by taking a “professional gap year”.
“Taking time out allowed me to objectively assess what delivers genuine commercial value,” Herron said.
“Travellers Choice provides a strong, transparent financial framework, competitive override structures and a cost-effective fee model that directly supports profitability.”
Herron also lauded the “tangible commercial advantages” provided by the network’s marketing capability, supplier relationships and strategic leadership.

South Coast Cruise & Travel is the fourth former Travellers Choice member to rejoin the Travellers Choice network over the past 12 months. Among them was Au Revoir Travel & Cruise, which returned last year after a 15-year hiatus.
Herron says the decision to return was ultimately an easy one.
“Travellers Choice left the door wide open for me to return, so there was no hesitation in thinking which way I would go when the time was right,” she says.
