Held across five state capitals, the annual Travellers Choice Member Meetings provide member shareholders with an opportunity to help shape the group's strategy, and to share insights on the broader issues impacting independent travel agents.
Discussions at this year's gatherings – hosted by Managing Director Christian Hunter and Chairman Trent Bartlett – covered a wide range of topics, including economic trends, recruitment, airline capacity, retail sector consolidation, cybersecurity and sustainability.
“Members also explored the potential impact of emerging technologies such as ChatGPT and ways in which independent travel businesses could stay ahead of the curve,” says Hunter.
“As always, the aim of our Member Meetings is not only to keep members informed. It’s also to provide a relaxed forum in which the Travellers Choice Board and management team can listen and ensure we are doing all we can to support our members fulfil their own growth strategies.
“Just as importantly, members value them as an opportunity to come together and enjoy the unique culture and unrivalled collegiality for which Travellers Choice is rightly renowned.”
